About Ritmik

It came out of learning

One designer, three instruments, and a notebook that could not play anything back.

I am Sevgi, a user experience designer living in Istanbul. A while ago I started learning bendir, erbane and handpan — not professionally, just as someone who wanted to hold the rhythm properly.

I hit the wall every beginner hits. The rhythms I learned lived in my teacher's hands and in my head, but never on paper. And the strokes I scribbled in a notebook never played back to me.

So I built the thing I wanted. Ritmik lets you write a rhythm the way percussionists think about it, hear it back with a real drum sound, loop the measure you are stuck on, and take a clean page to your next lesson.

It is free, it runs in your browser, and the reason it exists is simple: I needed it too. If it makes your practice a little easier, it has done its job.
